Pipes don't wait for daylight to fail, and our Calais dispatch team doesn't wait for morning to respond. We dispatch Calais units carrying industrial extraction pumps, air movers, and commercial dehumidifiers already loaded on the truck.
Hirex Water Damage started because homeowners in Calais, ME kept telling us the same story: a national hotline picked up, put them on hold, and then subcontracted the job out to whoever was cheapest and closest. Every technician on our Calais roster is a Hirex Water Damage employee, not a gig-app contractor pulled from a random directory.
Our senior technicians are IICRC-certified and have worked everything from a clean supply-line break to a full sewage backup, so Flood Damage Cleanup in Calais isn't a side service we tacked on β it's the reason the company exists. We carry full general liability coverage and are licensed to operate throughout Calais, ME, so you're protected from the moment our truck pulls into the driveway.
Our Calais, ME-based equipment cache means drying gear is already close by, not stuck in a truck three states away.
Anyone in Calais who has had a supply line fail overnight knows the real cost isn't the leak itself, it's how long the standing water sits before someone with the right equipment arrives. That's the gap Hirex Water Damage was built to close, one Calais call at a time.
Not every leak announces itself with a flooded floor. A lot of the worst damage we see in Calais started small and got ignored for weeks. Here's what tells us a property needs professional attention rather than a mop and a fan:
If any of that sounds familiar, don't wait for it to get worse β call our Calais line and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a same-day emergency or something we can schedule.
From a single soaked bedroom to a commercial building with three flooded floors, our Calais teams are equipped to scale up or down β nothing gets a cookie-cutter response.
We arrive with submersible pumps and truck-mount extractors that get standing water out of a Calais property before it soaks deeper into the subfloor. Every extraction job includes moisture mapping so we know exactly which materials are still holding water once the visible flooding is gone.
Once water is out, we bring in commercial air movers and LGR dehumidifiers, positioned using psychrometric readings rather than guesswork, with daily drying logs so you can see the numbers improving, not just take our word for it.
For Calais homeowners, that means drywall removal at the flood cut line, subfloor assessment, and content pack-out for anything that can be saved, with clear photo documentation at every stage for your insurance claim.
Calais businesses and property managers get a dedicated project lead, after-hours crews, and equipment scaled to square footage rather than a single-crew response β we know a flooded lobby or a leaking unit above tenants below has to move fast.
When a Calais job involves sewage backup, our team suits up in full PPE, applies EPA-registered antimicrobials, and safely disposes of porous materials that can't be saved.
We apply antimicrobial treatment during every Calais drying job specifically to head off mold before it starts, and we'll flag any area that needs deeper remediation.
We quote the job before equipment gets plugged in, so there's no surprise line item buried in the final invoice.
Local staging inside Calais, ME means Calais response times usually beat the national average by a wide margin.
We photograph and log every step specifically so your claim moves faster and you're not the one arguing with the insurance company.
Final moisture readings have to hit dry-standard before we consider a Calais job done, and getting there again is on us, not you.
A short call with our Calais dispatcher tells us whether this is a one-room job or a multi-crew response before anyone drives out.
Our nearest available Calais crew is dispatched immediately with truck-mount extraction gear on board.
Extraction happens immediately, followed by a moisture survey that tells us precisely where the drying equipment needs to go.
Daily moisture checks continue until every affected material reads dry, and you get a complete report at the end.
Our Calais technicians use moisture meters at the start and the end of every job, and the final number has to hit the dry standard before we leave. If a callback shows lingering moisture within 30 days of a completed job, we return and correct it at no additional charge.
We put that guarantee directly on the Calais work order, not just in an ad. We try to send the original technician back for any follow-up so you're not re-explaining the job to someone new.
